Location: West End, Tortola

We started the day with some oatmeal, the last oatmeal of the session, I guess. Today was race day. The race was heated, with Drake, Luke, and Johnluca taking control of the helm, allowing us to fly at a fast pace. Jackson, Claire, Emily, and I unfurled the jib faster than ever before, but like, to be honest, before was not that fast, but it’s the effort that counts. Also, friendship and meow or never got into a heated fruit fight. People from meow or never had any mercy and went all out with their oranges and rotten apples, this sucked for friendship, and you will find out why. Anyways moving on, after the race and placing in a solid 5th out of 11 boats, we started sailing back to West End, which is where I am currently writing this great blog. When we arrived and even a bit before we started clean up, and this is where you find out why that fight was so bad, we had to do a full DEEP clean of the boat.

Another thing is to go on land and to get our phones we had to finish this clean. Carson was helping with the cabins along with Nat. Piper, Greyson, Jackson, and Juni all help with decking. I think the decks alone took a total of 1 to 2 hours, and everything all together we probably were cleaning for a solid 4 hours. After the 4 hours, we finally got to go and land and bye our final snacks on the trip, though, since our phones were not charged quite yet, we did not get those till later. After a couple of hours, we had a barbecue around 6:30 at this place called Omar’s. Here, they had burgers, hot dogs, spaghetti, BBQ chicken, and many sides. Personally, I think the first one was the best with the music and the dance floor, those this one was not bad at all. After all of this, people went to a final little talk with Mike and then went back to the boats. Day 20 came too fast; this trip was so slow but fast. Like I feel as if this is still the first day, but I’ve been living on this boat for three weeks. It really shows you how much you can truly achieve in such a short span of time and reminds you to live and not just stay alive. Stop and look around and think just how much you have done throughout your life, and trust me, it will be more than you think. Thank you to everyone.
