Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

In the early morning, at 6:30, most of the crew woke up and became prepared to sail. We started moving at 7:00 and ate breakfast on the way, Prepared by Julia and Leonie. Me, Ronan, Max, and Jackson took the helm and enjoyed the relaxing ride to Mountain Point. After anchoring, Max gave us a lesson on navigating a map (oops. Charts!), which we really enjoyed. After, we ate lunch and we snacked on some wonderful Grilled cheese prepared by our chefs. I hung out and had some nice conversations with the group before the first rotation of the crew( Zoë, Campbell, Sadie, Emilia, Elsa, Carley) went out and did water sports. The second rotation (Me, Ronan, Jackson, Andrew, Julia, and Leonie) went out and had a wonderful time!

Leonie and I tried waterskiing, and Roman and Andrew tried the board (they both killed it!) My highlight of the day is when our rotation took the dinghy back, Max took some really insane turns, and we struggled to hang out for dear life. It was quiet and an experience. After some hanging out back at the boat, we took the super, hyper dingy to Nomada to go scuba diving. I missed out on the first day of Scubaing, so I had to learn the basics before I could go for my first dive. We had a blast! We arrived back to boat Avizia (our boat) and hung out, and had Mexican night dinner! Finishing our meal, under Roman’s recommendation, Max took us onto the super, hyper dinghy, where we all drove the beautiful, jaw-dropping sunset, where we stopped and squeezed in the water. I asked the group about their appreciation for the day and what their pets were like. It was a lovely conversation. We headed back to the boat and hung out some more before we had our final scuba exam. Overall, one of my favorite days I’ll have so far. From Max’s ride back to Avizia to the gorgeous sunset, it was a great, great day.
