Location: Anegada

We began our day at 7 am and ate oatmeal without a bowl. It’s a little strange, but at least we have fewer dishes. At 8:30ish, we began to lift our anchor and sail away with me at the helm steering the boat and
Amelia, Roman, and Zoe hoisted the sail while Jackson and Campbell spotted. It was a very nice ride, with several of us at the helm, including Carly, Peter, Jackson, and Elsa. Roman, Andrew, Peter, Julia, Emilia, Campbell, Zoe, and Elsa all fell asleep on the short sail over to our current anchorage. Andrew and Roman were on dingy duty when we reached our destination, and Leonie, Jackson, and I pulled in the sails. A couple of us learned more about sailing via books, including Carly, Leonie, Elsa, and I. After, a couple of us jumped In the especially aqua water, and then we all ate deli sandwiches for lunch. We all then prepared for the boat Olympics, which we would be competing in against all of sail side A. We decided to get excited about the event by dressing Jackson, Andrew, and Roman in bikini tops and giving everybody matching blue war paint corresponding to the girls’ all-blue swimsuits.

We rode a dinghy to a beautiful beach for the games, where we quickly warmed up and got excited for them to begin. The first game we played was paddle board King of the Hill, Where Jackson went against a member of an opposing team standing on a paddle board armed with a pool noodle. Unfortunately, the other team had somehow developed a superior strategy to our own, and Jackson was defeated. The next game involved Emilia gripping a fender using only her legs in too deep to stand water and trying to stay afloat. The competition ended very abruptly, with only the winner from another boat able to stay up for more than a minute. For the next game, we had to dig a hole for Jackson, Leonie, Zoey, Roman, and Andrew to slide under a large log and then run into the ocean and attempt to climb a very slippery paddle board. Once again, we did not win, but the game was a lot of fun. The following game was a little complicated, but in short, every person on the boat competed in a game where we had to chase counselors and tag them to move on to the next round and compete in the final round against the other boats. Our counselor Annika was tackled to the sand by at least five of my boat mates. We did not win the game, but Julia got to the finals and lost fairly in the top three. Next, we played tug of war, and all fell to the ground when we were eventually defeated. Finally, we came back to the boat exhausted and ready to eat the delicious dinner of Caesar salad and Risotto prepared by Zoe and Julia before finishing the day with our last dive chat.
