Today friendship woke up serenaded by ACDC’s Back in Black. Despite a loud and early wake-up, most of us had a slow morning, with the exception of Sophie, who wakeboarded on the kneeboard like the madman she is. We all collectively learned how to make ankle bracelets, but Kaya and Bea outshined the rest of us. We had a Book Club meeting with Aidan, Kaya, Katie, Cahan, Sophie, Maggie, Charly, Bea, Celeste, and Dylan. After lunch, with white bean soup, we did our first open water dive. Erich successfully dealt with a tech malfunction at 20 feet, and Xander did surprisingly well with buoyancy. Returning to the ship, we had a nice chat about life with Aidan, Kaya, Katie, Cahan, Sophie, Maggie, Charly, Bea, Celeste, and Dylan while Xander cleaned the head and Erich slept. Dylan also found a new sleeping spot at the back of the boat that requires some hardcore parkour. Sophie talked about that ship head Shua. (Staff note: Shua is not an actual student). After that, we had a makeshift Thanksgiving dinner, and Dylan had a near-death encounter with multiple Giant squids trying to retrieve our sponge from Davy Jones Locker and proving that Dylan is the only one who’s gonna CARRY THE BOATS.
