Location: Marina Cay

We woke up today at 7 am in Trellis Bay. Today’s breakfast was pancakes which were supposed to be made by Carlo and Sophie but ended up being made by Maya and Julien. They were eaten with bananas and Nutella or just plain. Shane especially liked her pancakes with bananas. After breakfast, we relaxed for a bit and did an efficient job at cleaning; even our staff members were impressed. The plan for the rest of the day was to go to shore for a little bit and then go on a dive in the afternoon and one at night. Once we docked, I walked around with Carlo, Maya, and Myles. We walked around, got food, and conversed with people from other boats. After coming back from the shore, we migrated to a different location to complete our fish identification certification dive. To complete the fish ID certification, we needed to draw or take a picture of 3 different types of fish and then identify them after the dive. Unfortunately, Sophie Alta and Lilly weren’t able to participate in the dive. The site we dived at had various pieces of underwater art, including a mooring ball sculpture and a couple of planes in the shape of different types of sharks.

After the dive, we motored to Muskmelon Bay, which in many people’s opinion, is the best spot because it’s the prettiest. Davis continued to read out loud to us because we were all so interested in “Cheat Sheet”. We sadly had to stop the reading because it was time for dinner, which was chilly and rice. After dinner, we went on the night dive in 3 different groups. Group 1: Maya, Alta, and Ana Group 2: Carlo, Myles, Zoe, and Shane; and in Group 3: Riley, Asa, and Julien. It was a very fun dive and was nothing like what I had experienced before. We finished the dive without complications, and everyone helped put away the scuba gear.
