Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today we woke up a little earlier than usual for a “Chaos day,” which is just a rotation day that revolves around how long the dives take. We didn’t have much time for breakfast, so we just had to make some cereal. For our dive, we had to do a peak performance buoyancy test. For this test, we split into two groups of five, one group being me, Carlo, Asa, Riley, and Maya, and the other group was Julian, Zoe, Shane, Ana, and Alta, but Alta couldn’t equalize, so she had to go back to the surface. Lilly and Sofie weren’t feeling the best, so they sat out for this dive. During the dive, we had to hover in different positions without hitting the sand. For example, we had to be parallel to the sand with both our Back and stomach; we had to be upside down with our head to the sand, meditate, etc. After that, we had to swim through a hula hoop without hitting it. Almost everyone was struggling with not getting stuck. Shortly after the dive, we take a dinghy over to a raft (two boats tied together).
The raft was made of Marylee and Meow or Never. At the raft, we had the option to zest, paddle board, do water sports, or just hang out with the other boats. At around noon, we got to head back to the boat for lunch, and on this ride, Asa and Lilly were telling everyone how we were doing some cool tricks on the wakeboard and that we should have seen them. By the time we got back, lunch had already been made for us. For lunch, we had some amazing quesadillas. Others ended up eating 2-4 slices, I, on the other hand, ended up eating around ten slices. Once everyone thought lunch was over, Kackie made us some banana bread to finish the meal. Once we finished cleaning the dishes, we ended up going back to the raft. This time Davis read more of “The Cheatsheet” to us, and everyone seemed to enjoy it, so when Davis stopped reading, nobody really knew what to do. Eventually, people started swimming and doing all the other fun stuff, but Sofie and Alta mainly just talked to other boats. After our second rafting adventure, we came back amused and helped the people doing the quest program put together dive gear. Once that was all said and done, we sailed to Sommers Beach, where we had our second BBQ. Once on land, everyone started to do their own thing, some people played football, some gossiped, and the rest just talked and ate. The BBQ ran till the sun when down, but by the time we got back to the boat every, one seemed to have had their last burst of energy before dozing
