Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Day 9 on the FriendShip boat was definitely a good one! We woke up at 7:00 to beautiful weather and the lovely views of mountain point. On the docket for today was a rotation day. We were out at 8:00, zesting around. Dylan sailed a boat all by himself and did an amazing job. Maggie and I went zesting for the first time. We were accompanied by Aiden, who is basically professional at this point, but needless to say, it was tons of fun. Next up was water sports. Cahan got up on the wakeboard on his second try and said it was “tubular.” Charly thought outside of the box and used the kneeboard for wake surfing, and Bea had an epic face plant on the wakeboard. After the watersports, we headed back to the boat and enjoyed some grilled cheese sandwiches. Then, it was time for diving. Everyone’s getting the hang of it, and Xander enjoyed the crisp-tasting air underwater. While diving, we got to practice some skills and cool bubble tricks. Then it was time for the last station, paddle boarding. Kaya and Katie read their books while enjoying the sun. We arrived back at the boat around 5:00. Right away, Celeste and Charly got to work cooking the most amazing tacos. We were accompanied by Mike while we ate dinner. He and Eric shared their love of sailing with each other. Before bed, we had a dive chat about the importance of conserving coral while enjoying freshly baked brookies.
