Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
On day five, we all had to wake up really early, around six, because we had a longgggggg day ahead of us. The chefs for the day (Sophie and Lilly/south side) cooked us oatmeal which was okay. After that, we got ready to go for our first scuba dive. We dove for around 30 minutes at Mountain Point. Carlo’s mask got really fogged up, and he couldn’t see anything at all, but Myles, as his scuba buddy, was able to lead him along the way. At the same time, Riley, Sophie, Asa, Julian, Ana, Shane, Zoe, and Maya all saw a really cool-looking turtle and a bunch of shells. After that, we did water sports, including kneeboard, waterskiing, and wakeboarding. The group was mostly divided into boys and girls, and in the boys’ fleet, everyone got up, and Ace even did a flip.
In the girl’s fleet, almost everyone got up on the wakeboard, including Zoe, Sophie, Lilly, Alta, and Ana. After that, we all practiced doing a few basic knots for sailing, as well as practicing driving the dinghies. When we were done with that, we had a couple of hours to relax and chill in the water. Some of us took the paddle board close to the island, and we relaxed on top of them. Since our boat was being used by other students, we were hanging around the boat ‘Meow or Never,’ and they even gave us apples and bananas with peanut butter. Around 5 in the afternoon, we got picked up, and after we bathed, we prepared dinner. Today we ate Beef Stroganoff, and it was really, really, really good. While we were cleaning up our plates, Davis noticed something in the sky…for the FIRST TIME in the last five days, we finally saw the moon. We’ve been extremely confused why we couldn’t see it, and today we finally got to see it. Everyone got so happy they started clapping. Later tonight, we are going to be doing a new activity we haven’t done yet called ‘Life Works.’ After, we are going to hang around the boat for a while before getting ready for another day in ActionQuest. Goodnight everyone!!!
