Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Currently, at 7:05 PM, we are located in a perfect spot where we can see the shoreline of Mt. Point at our dining table while we can also observe the breathtaking sunset on the hammock. Meanwhile, I write this message for our dear parents. The rest of my shipmates are cleaning our vessel after dinner. Today’s dinner was chili and rice, gracefully cooked by Zoe and Maya. Before dinner, we were playing and joking around with temporary tattoos Ana bought in Spanish Town. We had a bunch of fun taking pictures of each other with hilarious tattoos on us. All of this fun came after a “deadly” 30 minutes of reading and learning about our new specialties and their procedures. While trying to answer our exercises in our PADI work book Asa, Carlo, Julian, and Myles all half fell asleep while we were sailing towards Mt. Point. We woke up all looking at each other, waiting to do something else than the workbook. After some minutes, we decided to go outside with everyone else and talk and play Hot Potato. While some of the girls were reading or doing friendship bracelets like Alta and Lily. All of this relaxation came after waking up around 7:00 AM to set sail towards The Baths, its a formation of rocks, and the story goes that during the 17th century, slaves were brought to bathe on those beaches. After breakfast, we changed our clothing to get prepared to go in the dinghy to arrive towards The Baths. We were all amazed by the beautiful scenery and topography of the formation. At the end of the exploration throughout The Baths, there’s a rock around 3.048m/10ft where we all jumped off from.
We took amazing pictures and videos of Lily doing an awesome backflip of it, as well as Asa. Myles and Carlo didn’t believe in themselves to do a front flip, but they did it. Shane, Ana, Sophia, and Maya jumped together, holding hands. After we repeated this jump over and over, our time was over in The Baths. While we were sad, we were also excited to get onto shore and have hamburgers, tacos, and virgin piña coladas in a restaurant in the town of Spanish Town called Bath and Turtle. After lunch we headed towards an ice cream store which was very cool with the heat of the Caribbean Sun. Tonight we are hoping to have a good sleep…we have to be on our first dive by 8:00 AM. So Goodnight to us.
