This morning we woke up in Little Harbor to a delicious breakfast of pancakes courtesy of Paige and Brittany. Then we set sail early on for one of our best dive sites yet, the Playgrounds. Dolphins did a research dive, moving that much closer to their final projects’ completion. Rescue worked on emergency oxygen. And Neptune did an incredible fun dive. We cruised along for the first bit and then came to a rocky patch. We dropped our fins and Greg taught us how to moon jump. We take off our fins, deflate our BC’s and grab massive rocks. Then we jump around and it feels like we’re on the moon. It was so cool. After that we swam through a small cave and saw our prize: two spotted eagle rays. We chased them for a few minutes and then returned to the boat. Paige and Brittany cooked up some Ramen for lunch. And then the afternoon began. Neptune went to an equipment lecture where we learned about our regs and we also officially earned our equipment diver specialty cards. The Dolphins did a second research dive, once again at the Playgrounds. Zach, David, and I went to the beach at Sandy Spit. Then we all headed back to the Cru for hanging out before dinner. Our chefs did a brilliant job on our dinner of franks and beans and now we’re waiting to go to a lifeworks forum. All in, today was another sunny, beautiful day in paradise.
