Action Packed Day!

Today I believe everyone in the ActionQuest program felt accomplished. To start off the day we woke up bright and early around 6am to hike the 8 mile hike to the tallest point in the Virgin Islands- Mt. Sage. It was almost constantly uphill, which was difficult. Heading back down, well, it was all downhill so it killed our knees. But it was all worth it for the spectacular view we saw at the top. We got back from our hike around 11am. When we got into town everyone found a restaurant to relax at and order a burger. Apparently Jimmy Buffet wrote his song Cheeseburger in Paradise about a burger he ate in Cane Garden Bay. After we ate, shopped, and relaxed on the beach. Everyone hopped on their boat to drop off their belongings and put on a bathing suit because we were heading to Sandy Cay to make sand castles. Each boat made amazing sand castles, but in my opinion Magpie Bridge had the best! We made two pyramids and then buried Aaron into a sphinx. From Sandy Cay we returned to our bat and got ready to go to Sydney’s Peace and Love. When we arrived we made conversation with the other boats and waited in line for a fabulous meal of chicken, fruit, salad, cole slaw, potato salad, rice, and more! After our meal we spent the rest of the evening talking with everyone, dancing to the live reggae band, and shopping at the Sydney’s Peace and Love store. Finally we returned to our boat extremely exhausted but content and proud of ourselves. The days are winding down, so everyone is making the most of it.
