Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today, we woke up at 6:45 (some of us were a little wetter than others due to the rain), and then we had French toast for breakfast (It was good). Then we put all our sunscreen on and headed over to Shamwari on a dinghy to learn about Sailing and Navigation for our rotation day. After we learned about Sailing and Navigation, everybody jumped into the water because of how hot it was. Then, they let us do flips off the bow until the dinghy took us to the Odyssey to do water sports. Redden, Blake, Henry, and I went out first for sports and wakeboarded. After we got done wakeboarding, we went back to Odyssey and gave people questions, and if they got it wrong, we pushed them in the water. That was what we did until the dinghy picked us up and took us back to our boat, Highlander.
Then we ate lunch, which we had tortillas and toppings to put on. Then we had to move the boat deeper so that we could go diving, so we put the boat on a mooring ball. Then we prepared to dive, put all our gear on, did buddy checks, and hopped in the water. We dove at a shipwreck that was sunk on purpose to make it an artificial reef. Jasmine was so excited about her first wreck dive, and Chloe C and Cami had a ton of fun identifying fish with the slates. Once we got out of the water, we motored to Vixen Point, and the people on the boat next to us started dancing, then we started dancing on the roof of our boat. We took our saltwater showers, and then we ate dinner, which consisted of cheddar broccoli noodles with cornbread. After we did our jobs, we squeezed, where lots of people shared their appreciation for diving today, and then we ended the squeeze by mooing really loudly. Then we had to write in our scuba books, and we stayed up late talking again. That was today at ActionQuest, day 5!
Love you, Mom and Dad, Brayden
