Location: Roadtown
The morning started off with people trickling into the kitchen after a late wake-up from the counselors. No one really remembered their assigned jobs, so everyone took part. Nate was cooking up pancakes, and Maddie was mixing batter. Once breakfast was made, the counselors decided to watch a movie, our boats voted for “Kingsman” we ate breakfast during the movie and it was enjoyed by everyone especially Ali. After that we all received our phones for a bit of time, Sophia and Kayla sat on the edge of a balcony for their calls while other such as Mallory, Margot, Liz, and Nora sat in a circle after making there calls and shared things about their life from their photo albums. After our phone time we were told that we had to clean the villa as we would be leaving the villa and wanted to keep it in good condition. Once we did that we got our phones back again to inform our parents of the plan that was happening. Everyone packed up their bags and as we were leaving Anton we asked to complete a question on the VHF test he had taken the day before as he had not answered it and he needed to get it right to pass the advanced sailing course, he got it right and was happy with himself. After one more sketchy car ride, the Avizia crew was back home on Avizia. We all unpacked our small bags and ate dinner. After dinner, we were informed that we would be writing cards to our fellow shipmates and staff. Everyone started writing, and it was a very emotional night that had us realizing how close we were to the end of the trip—the night ended quietly with a somber mood of understanding.
