Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Today we had arisen to no wake-up music. Sad. As everyone crawled out of their dwellings from the previous night, they had to conglomerate around the cockpit table. Schuyler, Maggie, and Maren had to grab the yogurt and bagels. The bagels were so fantastic, and the yogurt was sublime. Then cleanup for the spoons was just putting them in the sink. Then we set up our dive gear for a little underwater picnic fun-dive on the sand highway. Everybody brought an apple or something, and Ian, the counselor, brought a melon. Next, we went to go to a boat to do paddle boarding/zesting. On the boat, the people who didn’t go zesting or paddle boarding were reading and chilling. One of two counselors on board, Arden, mentioned during a discussion about sports that she had done gymnastics for 11 years but stopped four years ago. Schuyler and Frosty asked to see her delts, she said sure, and she was jacked.

Then we went back to Second Wind for lunch, where Schuyler took the rest of the turkey breast for her sandwich. We then went to Shape Up to waterski, wakeboard, kneeboard, and zoomies. The first group was just Declan. Then, the next group of 6 was Maddie, Emma, Schuyler, Leo, Armaan, and Frosty. After Zoomies, Frosty, and Leo got off to study. Then Mimi jumped in to go see her sister. We went back to Second Wind, then had a little dance party, and Garrison, the counselor, came over to dance. We then had the BEST Dinner ever, Thanksgiving—chicken, cranberry jelly, mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. We had to quickly squeeze. Then there was a night dive. Frosty couldn’t equalize again, but everyone else was good. Everyone else had to do a navigation activity, where it was ten kick cycles in a direction, then turning around and doing ten kick cycles back. Maren saw a moray eel, Maddie saw a scuttering shape, Mimi saw an obese fish, Emma saw worms, Schuyler saw a crab, Declan saw small grey fish, and there was Tarpan everywhere. Schuyler tried to wrangle them, Maren was absolutely fearless in climbing in the pitch-black water, and Declan was screeching. Then it’s time to wind down and go to sleep.
