Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Today was an amazing day! We woke up early to a VHF call wishing us good morning as the staff headed off to a quick staff meeting. Georgia, Reese Roth, and I made apple cinnamon, banana cinnamon, and regular pancakes, which were all delicious. We then headed to Trellis, a super cute beach town, for lunch, where the drinks were super refreshing, and the food was delicious. Brij cooled down by drinking many strawberry daiquiris (all virgin) and relaxing in the shade. On the island, there was a super cool shop called “Aragorns Studio,” where Sophie, Enya, Charles, and others bought some cool t-shirts. We then headed back to the boat and brought up the anchor, all sweating as we got ready to motor-sail over to our next location.

We passed stunning cliffs and beautiful scenery while breezing over the calm ocean. Reid brought out the jib while Eliza and Libby drove the boat, which helped us to sail faster. We all got excited to jump in and cool off when we started pulling into Musk Mellon, where we spent the night. As soon as Reid, Dalila, and I set the anchor, everyone jumped in and climbed onto the dinghy to do some fun flips before taking ocean showers. We had some competitions, and all had some massive fail-flips. We were all shocked at how you couldn’t see the bottom because it was so deep when jumping in. We then shampooed up and hopped into the water again, asking Max if he saw anything cool as he snorkeled the entire time. We got to conditioning and soaping up to jump in one last time. Trying to wash off with fresh water was a struggle but a fun one.

We all dried off and sat down, very hungry for the delicious chili and rice we were about to eat. The sun was almost unbearable, but as the sunset started, everyone was able to begin cleaning the dishes or hanging out as the breeze started to come back. We blasted some music and all hung out, watching the sunset or yelling over to Marylee, a boat with some friends on it, before getting ready for our sail chat to end the night. Goodnight!
