Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today we sailed over to Salt Island and took a hike. The view was pretty amazing. We also heard the story of the Rhone and Salt Island. The Rhone was a British mail carrier ship deemed unsinkable by the British navy. It sank. Almost everyone died except for a few of the crew. People on Salt Island saw them and helped rescue. The Queen was so appreciative she wanted to give the people the island. But you can’t just give stuff away, so till this day, the family of Salt Island sends the Queen a bag of salt she supposedly uses on her dinner table. After diving and hiking, we dove the Rhone. It was cool, a very good last dive. Then we sailed over to the Bight where we spent the night.
