Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today, we set off sailing to Savannah Bay from the Bight. At first, we slept outside, but it started to pour, so we all went inside. We woke up at 7:00 for breakfast and had scrambled eggs, muffins, and pineapple. It was so good! It is also Max’s birthday today! So Jorge cut the pineapple and gave it to him as a hat, and when we thought we were done with the dishes, we almost dumped a plate and a bunch of forks into the water. Then we started to sail. Sam, Sophie, and Malika made friendship bracelets on the top of the boat while all the others tanned on the hammocks and jumped the waves. We were split up into three watch teams. One watch team practiced sailing, and the other watch team was taught how to set up scuba diving gear. While the three watch team got to relax then we all rotated. Watch team 1 put up the sails, Bea and Evan skipper the boat, and Max and Sam take down the main sail.
Then we stopped for lunch and had PB&Js and some apples, and since it was so hot, we all decided to go swimming and jump off the boat. It was very refreshing and fun! We went on the dinghy, and Max, Dylan Jorge, Sam, Loren, and Maxime were doing backflips of the dinghy. Sam saw a bunch of cool fish while Sophie, Malika, Reese, and Bea were swimming. Swimming was fun because people were unhinged and just having fun. Then, we started to sail again to reach our final destination. We had to go into the salon to do our scuba diving tests, but it was very hot and rocky, and we did that until we went to Savannah Bay.
Then we went swimming again, and we all went on the dinghy again to do backflips and jumps. Evan and Dylan went sailing, as well as Sam and Max, while the other were on the dinghy. Sam, Sophie, and Malika were jumping off the top of the boat and filming with their go pros as well as going on the dingy. Then we all had our fresh water showers and just relaxed on the boat while Bea and Jorge made dinner, which was cheesy Alfredo with hot dogs and salad. It was so so so good! Then we made a cake for max, surprised him with it, and sang happy birthday to him. Then we did squeeze, and the question was, if you could have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? I was the skipper today, so I asked the following question: Then we all cleaned up, and now it’s time to relax and go to bed.
