Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today we woke up to a bit of rain at around 7 am. Luckily I was in the covered area, so it did not bother me as much. Our chefs, Finn and Alex, made an amazing breakfast of french toast. We had toppings consisting of Nutella, peanut butter, and syrup. After breakfast, we had a short lecture about dive tables and how to use them. It was very insightful. Once we were done, we headed to Sandy Spit for our first dive. It was a solo dive, and my buddy Pat and I had an incredible dive! Pat dove in full clothing, his hat, and his Hawaiian shirt included. On the dive, Alex, Gus, Sofia, Daniel, Savannah, and Xander brought soda cans and attempted to drink them underwater. They said the first few sips were decent, but then it became salty. The dive was mostly sand with a small amount of coral. After our first dive, we had lunch which was the most beautifully made Mac and cheese I had ever seen. We then headed off to our next dive spot, the Playgrounds. On the way there, most of us sat on the trampoline and got drenched by the choppy waves splashing up at us. We finally made it and had a beautiful dive. My buddy Pat and I saw a Lionfish! Some people saw a majestic eagle ray! After our dive, we headed back to Sandy Spit, with the entirety of the rescue boat with us. We gave them saltines, and in return, they threatened to take our beanbags. When we got there, we took our ocean shower, and our chefs prepped dinner. We had a relaxed evening and a delicious dinner of rice, beans, hotdogs, and cornbread. Overall a great day!
