Hey everyone, it’s Sam, and I’m going to tell you about today. It was a long and tiring but fun day. We woke up at six as we had a big 2-and-a-half-hour hike up to the top of Mount Sage ahead of us. We all had cereal and got ready, and we boated over to the dock. Today, we got our phones, so we called our friends and family to catch up with them and tell them what was happening in our lives. Then we started the hike. Dylan, Max, Jorge, and Sam V all raced to the top with other people. They got 10th, 9th, 18th, and 17th, which is pretty impressive since there were so many other people racing. Sophie, Sam, Malika, and Loren walked together until Sam had to stay behind because she caught her leg on a metal pole. She is totally ok, though, and she kept walking just alone, which she didn’t mind because she got to talk to her family and friends. The hike was very, very steep and was very tiring, but it had some beautiful views, and we saw some wild cows, which was pretty cool.

When you got to the top of Mount Sage, there was a little gift shop and supermarket where you could get some food after the hike, which a lot of people did. Then, we all hiked down from the mountain and went to the beach for some shore time. We all ate some great burgers and pizza and got some candy. Then we went to the supermarket where we stalked up on some delicious food, and Sophie got her favorite food in the world, Takis. Then we hung out a little more and went back to the boat to sail to Sandy Cay for the crazy epic sandcastle-building contest. We arrived at Sandy Cay and started to make our sand castle. We decided to turn Max into a mermaid, which was super fun, and we made sand fish around him. We did not win, but we definitely should have. Then we went back to our boat, had our ocean showers, and went sailing to Sydney’s Peace and Love for the BBQ. When we got there, we rafted with six other boats, which was really fun because we could talk to them and make new friends. Then it was time for the BBQ, and there was a little souvenir shop which everyone got shirts and hats from. Then, later in the night, the souvenir shops were doing braids, so everyone started to get braids. Sam V and Max got braids, and they wanted more, but they had no money, so Malika, Sophie, Jorge, Sam C, Sam V, and Max all went around asking for money, and somehow it worked. They got about 70 dollars, and the braids were 4 dollars each. Then we all danced and had some good food. Then we went back to our boat and got ready for bed.
That was the end of an epic day, but I’m exhausted, so peace out, people!!!
