Hey, Grayson here. Today was a big day: we had a long race, that we placed 6th in. It was honestly better than we thought we would do because we have a smaller boat, a smaller sail, and we had to reef our sail too, which means we have to lower the sail a bit so the boat doesn’t get overpowered by the wind. Also, on the way, we tried to throw food at another boat but ended up backfiring. While other people held carrots and apples, I had a rotten egg too. So, when I thought the time was right, I tried to hit the other boat that was near us, and before I let go of it, it exploded in my hand and got all over everyone on our boat. Soooo, at the end of the race, on the way back to the dock of the session, we packed up all of our things and then cleaned up the boat to look spotless. The counselors then assigned us where we should clean, and Peyton, Oscar, Mina, and I worked downstairs while Marcelo, Constantin, Hayley, Sam, Sloane, and Luke worked up on deck. After that, we rafted with the rest of the fleet and headed to the barbecue at Omar’s Fusion. We were allowed to hang out on each other’s boats for an hour before having the last squeeze game and finally heading to bed. These last three weeks have been a great time for all of us, and we campers are grateful for all the staff has done to make our first impression of AQ. Now we are headed home. Shape Up out!
