We woke up this morning still at the dock where we landed on the ferry on day 1. We left the dock for a LONG ship ride to our first island when Ry was the first of us to get seasick and several people ATE IT on the slippery deck. All of us were taught how to pull in the ropes and let them back out, and we formed three watch groups. We relaxed on the trampoline and made it to the first island. An instructor named Garrison came aboard to give us our swim test, where we had to swim four laps around the boat and float for 10 minutes. We played passed the 10 minutes quickly with conversation and music, and no one failed. We left for the second island, and all of us were taught to raise the main sail and the secondary sail, but pulling up the main sail hurt pretty bad and took ALL of our strength. Both the sails were up, and they gave us crazy speed while we listened to everyone’s favorite song requests. Katie was visibly and verbally upset when her request wasn’t played: While we waited for dinner, we stacked as many goldfish on Ry’s head as we could before he woke up, and we put one in his mouth too. Several of us took long naps before dinner, and we had some great food. Katie couldn’t help herself and had to sing mashups of let it go and Moana songs while we ate. Emma apparently saw a few tarpons during dinner, but someone else said it was a different fish, so who knows what’s true. We finished the day with a conga line around the boat and chanted our boat’s name. Garrison came aboard again to teach us scuba by watching several diving videos.
