Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Greetings, fairest guardians,
As thy awesome blazing ball of fire graced thine puny peasants with an additional rotation around its gloriousness, thirteen brave individuals embarked on a treacherous peregrination. Aden, Tyler, Skyler, and Zoe, thy resident masters of the seas, traversed the incredible waters whilst the youngins rested their eyelids in hopes to provide an awe-inspiring experience at The Baths. Thine enfeebled children satiated their gluttonous greed with thy finest oats in the lands and prepared to navigate the intricate rock formations of thy boulders ere. For them, the courageous of heart and fearless in stride, trekked through the careening chasms, the cavernous craters, and the monstrous mountains to breach the summit, from which they gracefully pounced and plummeted into the turquoise tides beneath. Then, thy conquistadors voyaged towards their next conquest: Spanish Town. Thine fledglings flocked forward in search of sustenance, stumbling upon Baths and Turtles, an establishment offering the finest foodstuffs. They ravenously devoured thine nutriments with a great voracity; Bode the bodacious particularly relished thee’s bacon burger.
Okay— I absolutely cannot write like this anymore haha. After we finished lunch, we split off into different groups and looked for supplies and snacks for our cabins on board. Ada, Ani, Skye, and Amelia journeyed into the dive shop in hopes of finding towels and stickers, while River, Adrien, and Bode swore they had found the most majestic bathrooms they had ever seen. Then, everyone regrouped back on the boat and basked in their newfound trinkets while breaking a serious sweat. We docked at the marina and started off towards Mountain Point, the area in which we would be anchored for the night. Skye manned the helm while Finley, Mackenzie, River, and Bodie helped raise the main. The rest of the crew unfurled the jib hastily, and they set off, sails raised. Then, we attempted our very first jibe (success!) and found the perfect place to anchor. Zoe taught Skye, River, and Amelia how to drop the anchor and how to do the proper placement for such! We happily took off our life jackets after we had successfully stationed ourselves in the bay and took turns back flipping off of the dinghy as we were showering. We FEASTED on some delightful chili and ended the night with a forum chat and a spirited game of BS. Can’t wait to dive for the first time tomorrow! Signing off 🙂
