Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

A little before 6 in the morning, we set sail for the Baths, so any of us who normally sleep outside had a very early start to the morning (we had to put on our life jackets before the boat started moving). On the way, Sophie’s hat went overboard, so we took a quick stop to fish it out of the water. At the Baths, we went cliff jumping and recreated Beyonce’s famous pregnancy picture. At first, Lilli had a little trouble jumping off, but with some encouragement from the rest of the group, she ended up really enjoying it and going for another round. Both Lily and Ben were filming with Go-Pros, though Lily almost lost hers, and Ben got several good shots and videos of Hayden’s flips off the cliffs. After that, we came back to the boat and began to sail for Spanish town. In the town, most of us went out for lunch on land, which was very enjoyable, and brought back snacks. On the way back, Chloe and Madison put up the jib, but later we found out that it was ripped and had to call the boss to try to see about getting it fixed, which we learned could take a few days. We then had a lesson about the “Basics of Sailing”, which was mostly about the anatomy of the boat and some other common sailing terminology. Will and Joseph had the idea to work on their knot-tying skills from yesterday and showed some other types of knots that they knew. Liam got a bit seasick and had to take some medicine, but by dinner, he was feeling better. Everyone complimented Elle’s amazing garlic bread, and the rest of the dinner was good, too. To finish off the night, our boat facilitators, Anthony, Emma, and Ian, came out to the front of the boat with the group in cute matching pajamas and had a mini dance party.
