Location: Anegada

We woke up to an amazing breakfast of French toast made by Will and the birthday girl Chloe. We then set off on a 3-hour sail to Anegada. We had a birthday banner hanging on the transom, but most of the letters flew off during our sail, so for the rest of the day, it was Chloe’s “RTHDAY”. We got to test out the new jib, and everyone helped raise the main sail. Since it was a pretty lengthy sail, almost all of us slept through it, Liam was even curled up on a little stool which looked uncomfortable, but he reported that it was a great nap. When we arrived, Joey steered us onto the mooring ball at the helm while Madison hooked it. After lunch, Emma read everyone’s horoscope, where we learned that the Sun and Uranus were aligned to help us overcome the challenges ahead. We set off for the AQ Olympics against our fellow boats, Mango Tango, Nomada Caribena, and Avizia. Hayden dominated the competition in the first round of the Olympics in a King of the Hill challenge, where he knocked his competitor off a paddle board with a pool noodle. We lost the other competitions, which were made difficult by the other boats, but we kept our high spirits. Back at the boat, Elle and Lilli baked banana bread and birthday cake. Ben spotted a couple of sea turtles off the bow of the boat before dinner, which was yummy risotto and Caesar salad. For today’s Squeeze, I asked everyone to sing the “Points of Sail” song that we learned yesterday. During dinner clean-up, Emily was in charge of fresh water washing, and an unfortunate gust of wind blew the rest of the chicken over her. We then had our final dive chat and enjoyed cake, during which Lily videoed everyone singing happy birthday.
