Location: Nevis
We woke up this morning, and the weather was really nice, so I was like, “That’s how you know.” We had very good French toast made by Mateo and Christina for breakfast. Then we got in the dinghy and drove to land to check out of immigration and get ready to leave Eustatious. I saw a dog on the island named Dano and a Cat named Wakanda, and they both probably had fleas. After clearing immigration, we went back to the boat to wait for our dive times. Stella was in the first group, so she left early. While the rest of us waited for our dive, we sat on the boat, slept, and listened to music. Shawn and Henry swam and lost a ball and Nate’s water bottle in the ocean in the span of 4 minutes. Our boat needs to be cleaned soon because it’s starting to smell like cheese, but it’s chill, don’t even worry. Once it was time for the rest of us to go diving, we left to go to the dive site, which was a sunken ship, and it was so cool. Hayes had a hard time with his regulator at first, but it was a learning experience, and he now knows how to use it correctly and will live on to dive more. Lauryl was not certified, so she went snorkeling instead, but she still saw a shark, so it was worth it.
While on our dive, we actually found Nate’s water bottle floating towards us, so we grabbed it and took it back to him. Then we ate sandwiches for lunch and had to wrap them up, and quickly got ready to start our 6-hour passage to our next destination, Nevis. While on our passage, Giles drove the boat very fast and well. Also on our passage, I saw a boat named Freak-A-Deak and thought it was cool. Around 9:00 pm, we got to Nevis and took showers and ate the best dinner yet, in my opinion. Caesar salad and risotto rice, it was very good, but Nate got burnt by it a little, but he’s gonna be okay. Now we are having a calm night doing our jobs and getting ready for tomorrow.
