Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
This morning started a bit later with a seven-thirty wake-up. The sun was shining, and we were ready to start our day. We had breakfast, did a quick dish pit, got on our swimsuits, and then started getting our gear ready for our morning dive. The dive was beautiful and peaceful. It was the dolphin research dive and NeptuNeptune’snd naturalist dive. Mason and Katie were excited to see trumpet fish and a sea star. Parker was exuberant about seeing Flamingo tongue snails. After our dive, we got all our gear packed up and put away, then set sail to fill up our water tanks. During our sail, we got a nice downpour, which brought Granola with a great deal of joy and was a nice change and cool down from the heat we are used to. While our tanks were being filled we got the chance to talk to our families and friends. After catching up, we got to go on shore, where Paloma, Parker, Mason, Sean, and Jasper stacked up on snacks!!!!!! Jasper and Will invested in some new hot sauces to spice up our meals. After our shore time we set sail so that the Dolphins could go for a Mangrove snorkel, they all came back very excited about what they saw. Reese was exhilarated when she saw a sea turtle. Malea was flabbergasted by the size of the sea cucumbers that she witnessed before her eyes; Megan thought that the baby moray was extremely extraordinary, and Jasper and Paloma thought the upside-down jellyfish were momentous. So, as you can see, this was a life-changing and eye-opening snorkel for them. While the dolphins were having this amazing experience, the Neptunes were hard at work studying wreck dives and deep dives. Once both groups finished, we got back together, swam, showered, and got ready for tonight’s lesson. Forever for now is dressed up and ready to party!! Until next time, Forever out.
