Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
This morning, we got to sleep in, then our chefs, Zoe and Dillon, began on our wonderful breakfast of pancakes and melon. After we finished breakfast and the instructors got back from their staff meeting, we sailed to the Visibles at Cockroach Island. Neptunes and dolphins had a fun dive. This dive was really cool, we saw cowfish, eels, and a really large lobster. Then, while we were underway, our chefs made lunch, and we had delicious ramen for lunch. Ellis accidentally put too much hot pepper flakes in hers, and everyone judged Perry for adding mayonnaise to his. Shortly after the judgment on Perry, Ellory, and Addy also tried it and surprisingly liked it. We sailed to Musk Melon Bay, where we were going to be for the rest of the night. While our chefs made dinner, everyone snorkeled our night dive spot. While snorkeling, Maya, Kennedy, Sloane, and Breckyn saw squid. We had dinner that was veggie tikka masala, and it was really good. After dinner, we had our solo night dive, where buddy groups are together and use navigation skills to run their own night dive. I was with Ellis, and we saw really cool things like different kinds of squid, a turtle, and lobsters. Everyone made it back to the boats’ mooring line except for Ellis and me. Talking to everyone after the dive, we heard that everyone had a pretty great dive; other groups also saw sharks and eels. After putting everything away, we all showered and are now getting ready for bed!
