Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Word of the day: soaking-wet
Hey Gang! It’s Molly writing to you as skipper of the day. We started the morning slightly behind schedule since we were up late last night doing hair tinsel. Sam and Maci made us some DELICIOUS scrambled eggs with a side of cereal, we then hit the dinghies for some SKIING. Me, Bella and George all took turns wake boarding, George got up for the first time on the wake board, later I also heard the Ada got up too, which was really impressive considering this was their 3rd rotation day attempting it. However, Bella and Kellen (obviously being pros), wake boarded with ease over the bumpy ocean waves. After skiing we headed back to our boat and had some BUSSIN’ blueberry muffins then went boom swinging off Glad To Be Here (another boat in the ActionQuest fleet). Boom swinging is basically jumping off the boat while holding onto a rope attached to the main sail. After boom swinging we hurried over to the Nacho Dinghy (the dive boat) for our 2nd open water dive. Ada, Bella, Margot and Jacob saw a colony of 11 SQUID which definitely showed up the other dive groups’ adventures 🙂 My group (Me, Chloe, Elin and George) got to do some cool jumps and flips on the ocean bed, the way we floated and bounced gave the impression of being in space. After scuba diving we came back to some white bean soup for lunch made by Siena and Annika which highkey hit, even in the hot BVI weather. After lunch we got ZESTY, Grace and Sam did an amazing job and managed to zest their way back to the boat, avoiding the tow of shame… Ada, Maci, Chloe and Bella were playing pirates on the zests and ended up capsizing in all the excitement. We then spent an hour learning some new knots then set sail for Sommer’s beach where we rafted — joined 2 boats together — with Glad To Be Here, then hit up land for the BBQ. The BBQ was definitely the best one yet, there was burgers, pasta and potato salad as well as chips ahoy, but what probably made it so memorable may have been the beautiful sunset, good vibes or when we pushed our boat parents into the ocean. This set off a ripple effect as all the other boats started following in suit, and there was a lot of playful wrestling and dragging as we hoisted Annika, Luke and Siena into the ocean. We ended the night with some ocean showers and good beats and settled in to write our farewell cards for Maci as she is leaving tomorrow. Speak to you all soon, this is Molly signing off!!!!
