Location: The Bight, Norman Island

This morning, I woke up on a deflated air mattress on the floor of the boat’s kitchen. It had stormed on and off all night so all most everyone slept inside, To quote the head director, Mike “It was a little wet last night” today is the day we set sail but before we departed all the ships gathered on the floor of restaurant to listen to a speech from Mike, which marked the last time we will see home port until we return at the end of the voyage. After that, we embarked on the start of our journey. We sailed for about 4 hours, and most of the passengers took a nap. 🪸🤯🦈🧜‍♀️yay we had such a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About halfway through, Jack saw a shark swimming alongside us. Personally, I didn’t believe it, but the staff backed him up. Speaking of marine life, Sloane Lucy, Natalia, Michelle, Leila, and Mathilda saw a turtle off the stern of the boat looking up at us before our swim test, but Sloane saw it was really cool and important.

Regarding the swim test, everyone passed. Carla finished first, so fast that people on the boat started calling her a speed demon. After that, we did snorkeling. Jack saw another turtle and swam up alongside it with his GoPro. Jules arrived soon after that, along with a bunch of random people who were snorkeling off our boat, so we just hung out with them until they left. And after that we ate dinner, and then because I’m the skipper I had to ask a question and then we’d go around and everyone would answer it, and I asked a very deep and interspective question that I did not steal from Carla, so whatever she says in her blog about me stealing her idea it’s all lies. And that pretty much concludes the day, marking our first day at sea. Sloane is singing to me while I write this, and asked that I include this detail.

I look forward to Mathilda continuing the blog tomorrow.
