Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

We started off the morning bright and early with a party rock anthem blasting on the speakers. Then, after cleaning up our sleeping spaces, Blake and Iris started making pancake batter for our breakfast. We ate the pancakes, which were shockingly good (however, the chef was not hungry for pancakes due to the five sleeves of saltines he had eaten for his midnight snack). We all sat outside at the table as the sun came up, and we were all very happy about the Nutella that we were surprised with for our pancakes. After breakfast was cleaned up, the boat was prepared (shoutout Coco and Elle for sweating the hallyard the best so far) we lifted the anchor and started to set sail. While we were sailing, there was a very intense game of Uno downstairs between Blake and Bryce, and Blake somehow managed to lose even with the intense amount of cheating that was going on. Ellery, Lilly, and Iris were also making a bunch of friendship bracelets, and they turned out really well. We learned a ton of stuff today, like the A tack (not to be confused with attack, even though we screamed it anyway), which happened when we turned the boat into the direction of the wind. A ton of people, like Gwynnie, David, Sloane, Clara, Ellery, and Lilly, took turns taking over the steering wheel and sailing the ship as Will was playing his questionable playlist that consisted of the entire Moana soundtrack. While sailing, Blake took a very peaceful nap until he was suddenly awoken by a GoPro and an intense interview while he was half asleep. We all had so much fun listening to music and sailing on the boat as we made our way to Cooper Island.

At Cooper Island, we spent about an hour swimming and doing some questionable back dives (shoutout, Blake) and some questionable backflips (shoutout, me), but they did turn out to be really funny photos and videos. After swimming, we sailed once again to Savannah Bay, where we officially anchored the boat for the night. Then the Vega kids learned how to put on and set up the BCDs, regulators, and tanks for their scuba course while Elle, Coco, and I set up the second anchor. After we finished with all of that, Blake and Iris made dinner, which was Alfredo pasta with cut-up hot dogs and salad. Then the Vega kids had another dive chat while Elle, Coco, David, and I made brownies for the boat. Today was a super fun day, and we all avoided sunburns (don’t worry, parents, we have matured and finally started using sunscreen, shoutout, Elle.) We have also started making a daily vlog on the cameras and GoPro that you will see soon!!
