Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Today was a really good day for Team Hope.

First, today Daniel made cereal with some bananas. The staff member Grace thought it was clever and sounded good, but the student did not so much.

After that, we went over to Pussers to meet up with the other campers and Mike, so we could talk about the safety rules learned that you should never go between the spaces underneath the boat where the legs are!

Before we went out to see and sail, we took pictures, we took a boat tour, we put on these life jackets, and we even went over some safety rules.

After we started sailing we learned a couple things like how to raise the sail, the people who learned how to do that were Wyatt, Dylan, Robert, Mathilda, and Pierce. We also learned how to steer the ship(hope), Justin, Elliot, and Robert did that. Lastly, we learned how to pull the ropes to adjust the sail, and for that, Justin, Emma, Augustine, Emmy, and Harper did that. When Daniel accidentally let go of one of the ropes, Joey saved him by grabbing the rope.

When we got to the island where the caves were, we first got in the water and did our swim test (five laps around the boat). After the swim test, we did water treading, which was staying above the water for 10 minutes. Then after the treading we got on our swim gear and went snorkeling and cave Snorkeling. When we got back on the boat, we played with the frisbee, trying to catch it while jumping and diving into the water. When people got out we did our first ocean shower, people were rubbing soap on themselves and jumping back into the water and getting out to wash themselves with fresh water.

After the snorkeling and the ocean shower, we started sailing to meet up with Mike for Dinner. Tonight we had pasta and Alfredo sauce, and it was so good. During the squeeze part, Daniel, being the skipper for the day, decided to ask us the question of what thing we are most interested in now or recently.
