Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hi!! My name is Laila, and I’m the skipper for the day (which means I’m the boss). Today was an amazing day of sailing!! After a long night of dive chats, we woke up to yummy cinnamon swirl muffins and eggs made by Vanessa, Gabby, and Ella (Reid supervised).
We then set off for a relaxing day of sailing to Cooper’s Island. We had groups of four who all worked together to steer the boat. While we took breaks from sailing, Angie, Gabby, Reid, and I made “Lizzo’s fruit salad” out of oranges, apples, water, and fruit punch Gatorade powder. We sailed again for a couple of hours, and everyone went outside to lay on the trampoline while Mar, Krisy, and Lorelai took some comfortable naps.
When we got to Cooper Island, we had lunch, where Eli ate about five sandwiches. We then cleaned and went for a swim, then took ocean showers.
After everyone was clean and dry, the open water group practiced putting together our scuba gear for tomorrow. We then finished off the night with Alfredo pasta, garlic bread, and sausage made by the best chef ever, Riley, and dive chats before bed!
