Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hey, my name is Sedora, and I am the skipper of the day! On our boat, we have many jobs. Some of these include Chef, Deckies, and the Skipper. We strive to work together as a team to keep ourselves and the boat as healthy and clean as possible.
Today, we started our morning early, waking up at 5:00 AM. A few hours later, our chef and sous chef, Reid and Evan, prepared breakfast.
We then began our journey to Nanny Key to pick up the final member of our crew, Elias, who traveled all the way from the Netherlands. Everyone was ecstatic to begin our first snorkeling adventure; however, we had to complete some tasks first. We had to learn how to sail, with Ella and Lorelai helping with many of the ropes. During the long boat ride, Angie provided us with some tropical vacation music to keep us excited.
Once we arrived at our snorkeling location, called The Caves, we all successfully passed our swimming tests. We then drove over to the diving boat and acquired our gear. Many people remained close together when exploring the caves, such as Mar and Krisi. Amanda led our way back to the Alpenglow, where we had our first-ever Ocean Shower. Vanessa, Gabriella, and Laila had lots of fun jumping into the water.
We settled down for our first official team dinner, sloppy joes, once again served by Reid and Evan. We then finished off the night with dive training and setting up hammocks, ready for the next day.
