Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Hi everyone! I’m Teddy, and today I get to be the skipper of the day. Today was a long sailing day. We learned more about sailing, which was really cool. I raised the sail with Bailey, Aaron, and Max. We hoisted up the main sail using the halliard. Then, we went swimming at a bay where we took a quick stop for lunch. There were so many sea turtles and such blue water. The glassy blue water was at a really nice temperature and made for a perfect stop. We then got back on the boat and went in small groups to learn how to assemble diving gear with our dive instructor, Nat.
I took a nap afterward because I was so tired. My favorite part of the day was my shower because we all shower in the salt water together and play music while the soap is in our hair. The soapy water smelled so good around me while I swam. We passed a resort called Little Dix Bay that I went to last year, and it was so fun to see because it’s from a whole new angle. The dinner today was so good, we had pasta and hot dogs with bread and salad. However, my favorite food had been apples. They taste 10 times better when on the water. I can’t wait to go to bed after a long day of being in the sun. The wind was really strong toda,y which made for a nice breeze and made a really fun sail. I got to steer the boat today as wel,l and it was so cool.
