Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today was day 16! It feels like the journey is coming to an end very fast. Today we woke up very tired after a long night. We all cleaned up the boat from the night then we sailed off to work on sailing lessons. First, we did man overboard drills. Drake was steering the boat, and Eli, Piper, Luke, and Juni were taking down the sail. Greyson sent the radio call. Carson and Emily were the watchers. Claire and Jackson were retrieving the man overboard. After the drill, half of us did sailing, and the other half took the knot test. We practiced trimming sails and sailing from different wind angles.

During the knot test, we showed our skills on seven different knots, and we all passed! After we sailed, we anchored near a picture-perfect small island. We took very long ocean showers; most of the time, we were learning how to jump off the boat with a dive. Eli and I were practicing tuck dives off the boat. The others were diving off the dinghies then once they felt confident, they jumped off the side. It took some of us longer than others to jump off the side. We had a good dinner with delicious cornbread. Then we had a dance battle with Eli and me versus Greyson and Johnluca. Johnluca had some very interesting moves. Eli and I won💪🥇. Today was pretty chill, and I’m excited for tomorrow. We all miss our 👩‍👩‍👧👨‍👨‍👧families.
Bye👋
