Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

Hi! I’m Emily, and today I got to be the skipper! This morning, we got a special treat of French toast and fruit. After breakfast, we practiced our knot-tying skills with a relay race. Then we were able to learn how to drive the dinghies and practice the man overboard drills! Teddy, Stella, Amelia, and Bella were all excellent dinghy drivers. Next, we moved on to water skiing, where Grayson, Stella, and I all tried wakeboarding for the very first time! It was a lot of fun to see them trying so hard and (slowly) getting better each time they went. After we did that, we were able to go and have some beach time, and Bella, Bailey, Teddy, and Aleda all went paddleboarding. At the beach, we saw a baby nurse shark, a sting ray, and some cleaner fish that we promptly named Daniel (yes, all of them are named Daniel). Next, we got to have a simple but still delicious lunch of PB and J’s. We then got to have a dive chat with Nat! We learned about RDPs and how to use them. Then we took our first hibicleans shower and started getting ready for our shore time that we spent at a local grocery store, and we also helped dock our new boat for the first time! After we had our shore time, we were able to get our phones back and we took pictures, called home, and texted friends! That was fun, but then we finished getting ready and spent a lovely night at a BBQ with the whole fleet, and we danced and ate delicious food for three hours, and then now we are going to bed after a long day filled with fun and good food! See you tomorrow!!
