Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Hi, I’m Bailey, and today I got the job of the skipper, which basically encourages the people on the boat and creates a question for everyone to answer on the squeeze at the end of the day. Today I woke up with Teddy in our cabin at 7 am and we got ready for the day by putting LAYERSSS of sunscreen on. After that, we are cereal for breakfast, and I sat next to Emily, who is super nice and helpful. After breakfast, it was time for the first rotation. The rotations are basically you go to different boats to do different activities. So first, we were on our boat and got to go water skiing, kneeboarding, and wakeboarding on a dinghy. I went the second round, so Teddy, Amelia, Bella, and I waited on the top of the catamaran and talked!. I tried knee boarding for the first time and it was sooooo fun. After that, we got to go scuba diving with our entire boat. I got to sit next to Stella this time on the way over there. When I went scuba diving, it wasn’t my first time, but I kinda felt like I was gonna suffocate, not in a serious way, don’t worry. Other than that, I had so so so much fun laughing with Aleda under the water because we both could not do a skill well. After that, we got to go back to the boat and eat lunch. Aron, Teddy, and I put the water skiing stuff away and then ate lunch. Sasha told us about how she got to finish all her skills to get her scuba certification. After lunch, we hung out on paddle boards and talked to a staff member, Mia, who knows Elle Egglestone because they both go to Tulane. After that, we went back to my boat and hung out for a little while, and showered in the ocean. Then Jake came over for dinner, and I told him about my obsession with apples and how he has to try apples and lemon. Now my friends and I are listening to Marge’s GREAT playlist.
