Location: Great Harbor, Jost van Dyke

After waking up, we took off for our first adventure—a hike to a beautiful spot on top of the hills with the best view of the ocean. Although the journey there smelled of goats, it was still fun. I took some amazing pictures, and the guys threw rocks, creating rockslides down the hill. After that, we went back and got ready for our first dive of the day. Everyone was so excited because it was a wreck dive with a cool history behind it. We were divided into two groups: Neptunes and Dolphins. The Dolphins spotted an octopus for Megan and a majestic turtle. Us on the other hand (the better group, no offense) found a couple lobsters. It was my first time seeing a lobster, and a huge one without being cooked on a plate. It was finally time for lunch and some briefing for our next dive.

We got some free time and went wakeboarding, and Darby and Maddie went kneeboarding. While cooking dinner, Lauren taught Teddie and Kiran to dance. Kiran killed it while Teddie was a literal robot, but it’s okay. We’re still rooting for him. We got the news that we’re gonna get a chance to snorkel at our dive site before our upcoming night dive. A special moment is dedicated to Jules for completing his first water bubble ring underwater. It was a perfect circle, and we’re all so proud of him, probably not more than he’s proud of himself. Nighttime hit, and it was time for our night dive, for which Alivia and Ruby were extra excited. After setting up our gear, we got to jump in dark water. The tarpons were absolutely huge and got so up close. Emma Y spotted a big sting ray that came up to her face and kept tagging along till the end of the dive. It was finally time for ocean showers in the middle of the night, and Emma L nailed the perfect backflip off the boat and conquered her fears. Then, everyone sat down for some quiet games to end the day.
