Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
At 4 am, the entire boat woke up to pounding rain and booming thunder. Everybody ran inside and found a place to find shelter for the rest of the night. Afterward, we again woke up at 7 am for breakfast and to get ready for the crazy day ahead. Most began with an appetizer of brownies made the night before but later ate nutritious cereals. While eating breakfast, Emily, Chase, Cameron, Magnus, and Jada pulled up the anchor with an array of pointing, including the model point, aggressive point, and soft point. We then had a quick study session to review for our sailing exam. Everyone passed! Then, we headed off for a glorious hike in the rain. We enjoyed the beautiful views while a 25-knot wind attacked us with rain. Eli and Magnus still somehow managed to run up this hill together. We returned to Avizia cold and hungry but excited for our big dive ahead.
We geared up for our dive and indulged in a quick briefing on the history. Jada, Emily, Cameron, and Magnus all got to go through a swim-through on the ship. Jada and Emily even saw spotted eagle ray roaming the ship. Vaughn saw a Lobster, and Breaklyn saw a pufferfish. The Rhone was amazing. It looked just like finding Nemo with all of the colorful fish and corals. It would be amazing if I had pictures, but I brought a camera that could only go 23 feet. Later, we had much-needed warm ramen and began our sail back to Great Harbor Peter. When we arrived, we had our last saltwater showers. Ellory and Emily jumped in the water as long as they could before we were finally brought in for dinner. Finn cooked up amazing Cheddar Broccoli pasta, and Vaughn dumped what seemed like a gallon of bacon on his. Sloane also made a delicious salad to complement the meal. For our nighttime activity, we all wrote meaningful letters to each other to read on the plane ride home. Now, everyone is scheming another prank and heading to bed.
