Our day started bright and early at 3 am when some shipmates from a fellow boat, Avizia, pranked us. Malahku woke up and saw many of their shipmates sneaking around our boat, he woke up Marlowe and together they scared them off of our boat. Many others woke up but just fell back asleep. Sadly, they got away with our fruits. Around 4 hours later, we started our day eating bagels and fruit without the fruit. Since today was a rotation day, we began our day with diving. During the confined water dive, Cora and Asha saw a sting ray and a fish going for a swim. Enya and Ainsley saw some interesting fish during their fish identification dive with the other advanced divers. Our next rotation was zesting. Zests are little sailboats that are very difficult to control and keep from capsizing. Lily and I got stuck far away from the boat when the wind stopped, and we needed to get rescued by a dinghy. Lucas and Marlow zested and visited a friend’s boat. After we had lunch, we had water sports. Quin and Declan relaxed on Avizia, along with many other shipmates. They enjoyed time in the water and jumping off the side of the boat. Cora and Lily had fun wakeboarding together, and Cora stood up for the first time on the wakeboard.
Kiara and Marlowe did water sports and had lots of fun knee-boarding. Our final rotation to finish the day was knots and swimming. We practiced the basic 7 knots: Square knot, cleat hitch, bowline, figure eight, round turn two half hitch, clove hitch, sheet bend. Declan and Lucas were masters of these knots, while others practiced and learned them. During our final rotation, Max and Kiara did another dive with the Basos kids because they were in Barracuda. Our evening started early, around 4:30 when we all showered early. Cora and Asha were our chefs tonight and they began making dinner early tonight around 5, they received some help by Basos skipper, Emma, and they finished dinner around 5:30 allowing us to have a relaxing night. Max and Kiara have their first night dive tonight with Grace, which they are very excited about. We had an amazing day aboard Meow or Never, and we look forward to hopefully having a good night’s sleep tonight and not waking up to a prank.
