Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
We started the day off by waking up to Mike, the head director, speaking over the VHF for laundry day, which was a great wake-up call! We had a good breakfast and headed off to Beso for sailing. We got on the boat, and even though we had to clean up Beso’s breakfast, the bacon bits attracted a black-tip reef shark, which was a great start to our day. We then did a review of the points of sail and different parts of the sail. The staff on Beso then decided it would be better if we took turns sailing the boat in groups. Group 1 was Ainsley, Declan, Enya and Marlow. Group 2 was Lily, Lucas, and Asha. Group 3 was Sophie, me, Cora and Kiara. For lunch, we had delicious Ramen noodle soup and finished with a swim after filling up Beso’s water tanks on shore. We then sailed back to Virgin Gorda, where we got off Beso and got on Meow or Never, where we had a Thanksgiving dinner, which sure was a mess for dishy pit to clean up. I hope we don’t get woken up early again, but overall, it was a great day.
