Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Yo, what up fam, it’s me, Eli, and today we woke up around 6:30 to a nice drizzle, although Chaz (Charles) was able to sleep through the rain. Today, we left the harbor after we had a nice meal consisting of Cornflakes and milk. Our journey was directed by our advance sailor instructor, Garrett, with the help of Alex, Kai, and Landon to pull out the jib, Chaz was also working on the helm, with all this help we made it to Norman Island. After this, the crew was promoted to a swim test. During our four laps around the boat, Landon proceeded to overtake everyone in the first lap, and the crew eventually finished swimming, which meant it was time to eat lunch. Kai made us delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and after this, the crew went on a snorkeling journey where Carla and Amelia saw a pretty rainbow fishy. After the snorkel journey, me, juni, and drake saw a sea turtle, we told some of the other crew but unfortunately they missed it. After this witness, we traveled to the other side of the island, and while coming in, Drake helped, and Luke helped with the mooring ball. While we were traveling, the Vega crew had a nice, long, and enjoyable dive chat. Then we all had Sloppy Joe’s with Papa Mike.
