Hey guys, it’s Josie! Today was a bittersweet day as our trip came to an end. We started our final day with the classic wake-up song, Bikini Bottom Day; Lucy and Ella W hit the notes for Sandy’s part perfectly. I was the skipper today so me and Matty P hit a side quest over to Mike’s boat to get the instructions for the big sail race. Wilkes and Thompson were still asleep when we got back, but we started playing some hype music, and our hype team, Lucy, Hopie, Lulu, Ella S, Ella W, and Meredith, woke them up and made sure they got pumped up. Grayson tacked the boat perfectly (tacking is a super cool sailing term for super cool sailing people like us), and Matty P was so proud. While we all started to get sleepy, Joshua decided to take the wheel, and his awesome sailing skills took us from last place to fourth place.
Amazing, I know. We finished the race, and considering the fact that our boat had legit missing parts, fourth place is pretty impressive. Afterward, it was clean-up time. Ollie made sure the salon was spotless, and we all did our jobs and had the boat spotless within 2 hours. After this we got our phones, Wilkes was super to eager to talk to a special friend at home even if it was only for 30 minutes. Besides that, most people just checked their flights for tomorrow and then began to get ready for our final BBQ at Omar’s. The food was so great, and it’s always fun to see friends from other boats! We are so excited to see you guys, but we will also miss this boat and the people we met so much. Bye, Shamwari.
