Location: Road Town, Tortola
Hey, I’m GRAYSON. Today, Shamwari had a busy day! We ended yesterday rafted with other boats and got to have time hanging out with all of our other boat friends. This morning, Ollie, Hopie, Lucy, Ellas, Lulu, and I got up for water sports after eating what was left of our pancake mix. Once we got back, Shamwari made its way to Road Town. While the weather was not very nice and the waves were crazy, everyone napped through it, except for Joshua; he was enjoying watching the counselors trying to catch the runaway fender from Frenchie. When we finally got to shore, Thompson made a joke to Sela about flip-flops that he thinks is really funny (he told me to add that), and then we all enjoyed a much-needed lunch. Wilkes ate lunch with the boat Odyssey, while Josie and I ate with the boat Alpenglow. Everyone went to the grocery and got our last round of snacks before we left Shamwari 🙁 Then me and Angie went to the hair salon and got our hair braided while Josie watched. Meredith got a fun dingy ride back to the boat with Gene (another staff member). When we returned to Shamwari we all swam and did our final ocean shower, shockingly we are all a little sad about that. Then we made dinner and had an interesting squeeze question (I’m a skipper, so I got to make the question). We also tried to catch a seagull. I named one Charlie, and now we are all sitting in the salon and talking about everyone’s mixed-up clothes, and Hopie, Lulu, and Mia are making a cake for Matty-P and Sela’s engagement!
