Location: Marina Cay
Today we woke up bright and early at 5:45 to get ready for our big hike! We ate cereal quickly, filled our water bottles, and applied sunscreen. After we were given back our phones, we hopped into the dinghy and headed to the dock. We started our journey up the massive, steep mountain. It was an 8-mile hike uphill. Obviously, I started off super strong but still got beaten by August, Eva, Jerry, and Clemmie. The hike took a while, and we got to socialize with other boats during the 4 hours. We finally made it to the top and got victory smoothies. After Tom, Thom, and I ran down the mountain, we immediately went to get lunch.
We had some good food, groceries, and memories. We got back on the boat and strategized our plan for the epic sandcastle competition. Despite Madi and Sadies’ great artistic skills, we finished in 3rd place. We made an amazing sand SpongeBob, and it got first place in our hearts. After that, we immediately took ocean showers and got ready for our 3rd BBQ. It was so fun, we got to get so many shirts (I got my family amazing gifts) and ate some awesome food. After hanging out for a couple of hours, we came back to the boat with Pirate Song and got to catch up about the amazing day. We all had so much fu,n and I’m sure we will all sleep super well tonight. Goodnight from Oryx and Lucy
