Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

This morning was a good one. Everyone was gifted with 30 minutes of extra sleep and some delicious French toast prepared by Eva and Clemmie. Then we jumped into action, everyone getting into their positions to help undock the mega raft from last night’s barbecue. August, Lucy, and Tom caught lines and showed off their speedy cleat knots when needed. Then the Oryx family grew for the day as Ayden bought three skilled sailors from Nacho Dinghy to hang out with us. We then set off. We were headed to Annika’s “favorite” lunch spot. Jerry and Sadie helped sail us there and put the anchor down. It was a beautiful spot in a remote cove with a small beach, which was a national park bird sanctuary. After chomping down some scrumptious chicken salad wraps, we went to explore! We explored the beach and the rocks, then went snorkeling, where we saw some awesome fish and found an epic underwater cave. August and I attempted to dive in, but it was too dark and too deep; however, there was clearly a lot of life hidden inside. After an hour of underwater adventure, we headed back to the boat. And set sail across a very choppy ocean, the waves were so big that we were able to jump and stay in the air for a few seconds. Then we all lay down on the trampoline and let the waves hit us. One of which almost took out Madi. After a couple of hours of chill sailing and naps, we made it to our sleeping spot. Lucy took the longest nap out of all of us, as always. Then we all had ocean showers and sat down for dinner, we had Risotto, which we all gobbled down. We then squeezed and did a conga dance around our boat. Finally, we all settled down to chill time with some calm music to end another peaceful but amazing day on Oryx. 😁
