Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Our morning started with a bright and early wake-up call at 6 am following with a delicious breakfast of bagels and yogurt! Right after clean up, we were on our way to explore the underwater world. Today, we were lucky enough to have two open water dives to see all types of coral, fish, and other animals of the sea. My group, with our awesome instructor Ashley, even got to see a baby turtle swimming on the reef. During the second dive, all the divers removed our fins, tucked them under the sand, and flipped around on the bottom of the ocean. As we surfaced the members of Breakaway were welcomed into the world of diving as we received our PADI open water diving certification. The day is ending with a beautiful sunset on the horizon and a delicious Thanksgiving meal in the middle of August! (Editor’s Note: the crew also sailed Zests and went waterski/wakeboarding).
