Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today, we (Camila, Lila, Caitlyn, Emily, Max, Matt, Dylan, Miers, and Shawn) started our journey at 2:30 am to prank some boats. We put hot dogs in the winches and sardines in the heads(toilets), but apparently, somebody put sardines in the sinks and ended up clogging! As we were paddling/motoring back to our boat, we saw bioluminescence in the water, which was very pretty. A few hours later, we all woke up at 7:00 am and had the chefs make our breakfast burritos. We didn’t sail today, so we stayed around Mountain Point. The breakfast was so good until we found out all the boats we pranked were mad at us and that we were in trouble because the sinks were clogged. After that, we found out Shamwari(another boat) was coming to our boat to dive, so we went to their boat and got stuck there for 6 hours. Once we arrived, we all crashed immediately because we were SO tired. When we woke up, we made anklets(mine was probably the worst). When we finally got back to the boat, we had chicken-flavored ramen for lunch.
After hours of napping, we woke up to go diving. This dive was a training dive, so basically, we practiced our navigation the whole dive. First, we practiced our kick cycles with Mackenzie, and after, our compass navigation with Amanda and Grace. After the dive, We dissembled our dive gear and went straight to our showers. After showers, we had dinner, which was Thanksgiving-themed. After dinner, we worked on our boat diver and underwater naturalist books because they were due that night! Then we got ready for bed and stayed up a little too late, scared we would be pranked! That’s it for today! Love you! Mamae and Papai!
