Location: Marina Cay

Today, we woke up around 7 to go to the dive site called the Chimneys, in which we consumed cereal as another vessel’s students dove. After this rapid morning, we did a boat swap with Odyssey, whom we had pranked earlier, and we left with an ominous feeling in our stomachs as we entered the dinghy to the smell of gas. About halfway through, the boat engine broke down, and Maxwell paddled us there until we got it back up and running again. Once we arrived there, we sailed and arrived at
Scrub Island to refill their water. Once finished, we sailed and docked at Trellis Bay, talking about middle names and giving everyone new names, such as Stuart, Anty, Lilew, and Gretchen. We arrived and split up into groups to eat, shop, and explore. Mateo, Miers, and I had a sensational meal at the Loose Mongoose as it poured rain. As we voyaged into the rain, we bought new clothes. We then went around and explored the island, seeing all the sites. We bought all kinds of new shirts and snacks, and Stuart bought a mug. Once this was done, we got back on Odyssey and talked about our resting faces and how happy some people were. Once we got back, we received the news that Matthew’s toe was to be amputated, and we waited for the results. In about 1 hour, he arrived home with a prosthetic pinky toe, hobbling around, laughing. (Staff Note: All students still have all of their toes. The only ‘amputated’ body part is a pinky-toe nail that fell off on its own). Seeing that everything was okay, we ate dinner, and Matthew indulged in pure cheese given by Miers and went to bed. Hi Mom and Dad, Matthew out!
