Hi guys!!! It’s Margot and I’m the skipper for today….. WELCOME TO MY BLOG. We woke up at 7am (per usual) and had a bit of a slow morning. We had the BEST breakfast – made by our amazing chefs Elin and Chloe – which consisted of scrambled eggs (got turned into breakfast tacos) and later coffee cake. Then we decided we wanted to get our scuba test over with. This is our final certification which was 50 questions!!!!! And……Drum roll please……… WE ALL PASSEDDDDDD WOOOOOOO. Everyone is going to be officially scuba certified after we do 4 dives! We all got into our swimsuits and met back in the stern of the boat for friendship bracelet making. We all struggled a little bit with the braiding, and lets just say some of us gave up after a few minutes to tan because braiding is not for everyone. Maci took her rope and her and Sam did a little jump roping competition (Maci won of course!!!!!!!!!!!). Then somehow everyone just kind of fell asleep (or at least I did) and suddenly it was a little past lunch time/time to go scuba diving for the rest of the day….. so we rushed to eat lunch which was RAMEN!!! It was delicious but some of us were munching on hard ramen because some of us knew the strategy on how to soak the ramen and others didn’t: but we were in a time crunch. We quickly slipped on all of our rash guards and sunscreen and hopped in the dingy to go over to nacho (the divemasters ifykyk – if you’re keeping up they’re our rivals) to dive. Everyone perfectly put together all of their gear and we got in the water safely! This was our first big dive and we went down almost 28 feet!! At the surface we were all getting dragged around a little bit by the waves because of how windy it was today so I was grabbing onto Bella. This was our first major interaction with a lot of jellyfish in the water at once and we had some panic but it was VALID because Maci ended up getting stung a little bit on her leg…. (She’s totally okay :)) Our 1st dive was spectacular and we saw all times of fish and coral. My group (Jacob, Bella, Ada and I – Plus Luke of course) went through some cool reefs and rock formations. We came up after about 30 minutes, took a break, then went back down for another 20 minute dive for some more skill checks underwater. We ACED it and then went back to our boat for the night. When we got back Bella was treated with cream and ice because she got burned by fire coral 🙁 But she is okay too!!!!!! She survived. Elins hair (per usual) had to be majorly detanged before ocean showers. It was a beautiful (but cold and windy) night. We had THANKSGIVING for dinner which was magnificent. A full feast. Dinner was very funny and the vibes were high. Everyone laughs so much here. We’re having a super chill night with everyone in a bit of a new hangout location (on the beanbags at the bow). Annika and Siena were teaching us to make Turks heads and Grace and Molly were scrubbing dishes and dancing. Grace learned the dougie!!! George, Kellan, Elin and Sam were also busting it down in the stern to some music tonight. The rest of our night will consist of reading, laughter, family bonding, snacking and getting some good rest. Everyone is having an awesome time and none of us want to leave. We are saying goodbye to Maci in 4 days because she is here for 2 weeks 🙁 Savoring our time all together because these are some of the best days of our lives. This was a long blog but thanks for staying!!!! See you tomorrow!!!! Bye from Margot!
